I've dined in, and sometimes get take-out at Sun Wah for more than three years, and always enjoy a good meal when I dine there. The owners are very friendly and accommodating of special requests. I like the green pepper steak with onions, and I always ask them to add tomato. It's outstanding. For a more spicy all-meat option I also enjoy the orange chicken. Restaurant is very basic and not fancy but I can always count on Sun Wah for a great meal.

The food wasn't overly tasty, but I don't think you would go here expecting high quality or high class cuisine. It is what it is, fast Chinese food that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. Our order was perfect, relatively well priced for what we got, and we didn't get sick afterward. Yea it is sad when it comes to rating specific types of restaurants on whether or not you get sick from them, but Sun Wah is a well-established restaurant. We'll definitely try this place again when we get the urge for some quick Chinese food.

Cheap and fast is rarely good and unfortunately Sun Wah is far from good. If you are looking for something to quiet a ravenous hunger and neither flavor nor ingredients matter this place will do the trick. If you are looking for quality ingredients and genuine flavors don't stop.It is very unfortunate that the vast majority of strip mall Chinese food joints don't seem to care. I know this place has been around for a long time and a lot people in the surrounding area think of it as their go to Chinese restaurant, but if you have any experience with genuine Chinese food it is obvious that this is not it. I wish they cared and I wish it was better. There are barely any good Chinese food restaurants in Denver.I will say that they do not mess up the frozen dumplings that they heat up and sell. That and the fried chicken are pretty good. Maybe dumplings and fried chicken could be the new chicken and waffles...?

I have lived in the area for 15 years and have eaten here more times than I can count. If you are looking for over priced and over rated PF Chang or the like move on. If you are looking for good food, fair price, and a family business than this is the place!I LOVE the egg drop soup! It is my go to soup when I am sick or it is cold outside. I have eaten most everything on the menu and it is all good.

Stopped on my way home and decided to try this place. It has an open kitchen, so I saw the cook prepare my order. . The dish "Happy Family" was flavorless and seemed to have been made with yesterdays vegetables and off flavored chicken and beef; the normal shrimp were missing. I ended up throwing the remaing dish away. If your looking for good Chinese, try somewhere else. For $10.00 they should take more care with their ingrediants, and not to try and use sub-par foods

YUM!!! So happy to have such a bomb Chinese place 5mins away! My fiance and I have been twice now, and each time GREAT/FAST service.. I had the beef and broccoli; and needless to say best I have had. They don't just give you beef and broccoli--but also water chestnuts (yum!) they had a couple others (I think zucchini) BEST YET! We also had an order of crab cheese wontons! So good! -- I could just eat a whole order of those :) My fiance ordered curry chicken which was perfect he said. We also had a small order of steamed rice and we got that order both times we came in. 18 bucks and some change was not bad at all! I would recommend this place to anyone! :) Thank you Sun Wah for awesome food!!

It's fast food, it's fairly priced, I didn't get sick. That's really all I can ask for from Sun Wah. I had their lo mein twice now and both times I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of meat in there. I am however a little skeeved out about the "egg" in their egg fried rice, but not skeeved out enough not to eat it apparently. I had their orange chicken, wasn't what I expected but didn't taste bad, it tasted pretty decent actually. I've not had any issues with services or attitude, if anything they're generally pretty nice and patient.I mean, it's Chinese fast food, adjust your expectations.

Those are some harsh reviews. They're great people and have great food. I eat there all the time and they are always considerate and I get my food fresh and hot.

Five stars people! Ive eaten here about 10 times, use to live in the area but now i'm about 20 minutes away and still visit here when I'm craving chinese food. I don't know what it is about other Chinese restaurants in Denver but its hard to find one with that wow popping flavor. Sun Wah isn't the best Chinese food I've had but its the best in the area. You can watch them cook your food which I'm a huge fan of. Prices are decent I recommend going before 3 and getting their lunch specials.

it's about time i write a review for Sun Wah, seeing as how i've probably eaten here twice a week for 6 months now.The food is great. I honestly think it might be the best chinese in Denver, take out or otherwise. I always get chicken lo mein or chicken and broccoli, and no matter what i love it. I also get an egg roll every time, and their egg rolls are perfect.Service is always quick and friendly, and I have no complaints or issues with the staff. The lady that works up front is literally there open to close every day, I don't know how she does it.This isn't a fancy restaurant, there isn't much to the decor. It's just plain booths along the side of the restaurant. I usually just take it home. Price is awesome. Food is awesome.

I'm a New Yorker. We know good Chinese food!!! With the number of choices New Yorkers have we are PICKY inour choices for Chinese takeout or delivery... Give us bad food once or treat us bad and you can count on never earning a dime from us again. That being said... Having just moved to the area I decided to find the Best restaurant for good Chinese delivery. Placed my order today with a very pleasant and courteous gentleman. My order arrived almost TWENTY MINUTES earlier than the 30 to 40 minutes I was told it would take! First bite... Very good impression. While I have tested another place 1 block from me (name starts with an "M" and is located on E. Mississippi in Glendale) the Sun has definately outshined them! Taste: 4 stars Food for the money: 5 stars Menu variety: 4 stars Delivery speed: 5 stars Delivery accompanyments: 2 stars (neither napkins nor utensils were included)

I haven't ate here in years, I moved away from Denver about 5 years ago. My brother was up there in March and ate there and he said it's still as good as it use to be. We use to order this all the time when I lived in Denver and in the past 5 years that I have been away I have yet to find anything close to the flavors of Sun Wah. I compare all chinese food that I try to this place and can not find anything close. I think I need to move back to Denver for good chinese and Chipotle (can't find those either where I live now). Anyways just thought I would let all the people in Denver know this is an awesome place to eat for chinese food take-out. I just ate at a place here and it was horrible and only made me think of Sun Wah.?
